Representative of the Gender Equality Department at the Public Defender’s Office Ana Lobzhanidze delivered comprehensive and useful information about their rights to the single mothers. The parents had opportunity to speak about their daily problems, ask questions and get answers to them.
The trainings include psychological component too. The purpose of this part is to reinforce psychological capacity of the single parents and it was led by psychiatrist Sofo Tabagua of the Georgian Center for Psycho-Social and Medical Rehabilitation of Torture Victims. She spoke about the problems related with the violence from the side of the society, families and other psychological problems. The psychiatrist gave suggestions to the single parents how to deal with the psychological oppression and stress.
HRDF continues the cycle of the trainings for its current beneficiaries and for other single parents. Next training will take place in Gori on May 13.
